Boscastle Footbridge, Cornwall
This 9 metre curved footbridge was built in 2007 to replace one that washed away in the flood of 2004. The substructure of the bridge consists of 3 'glulam' laminated curved beams, made in-house, which carry the tanalized Douglas Fir superstructure.
The entire bridge in hinged at one side to eliminate the risk of it being washed downstream in any future flood.
