Boardwalk through the Trees

A 250 metre boardwalk at Bluestone Resort, Narberth, Pembrokeshire.

The boardwalk windsthrough a steep wooded hillside to give accesss to Camp Smokey on the valley floor.

Build from locally grown larch it was designed by Coed Dinefwr and installed by Coed Dinefwr and Pathfinders Countryside Ltd.

Wooden Pier at Penclacwydd

This access deck is built out onto the estuary reed beds as part of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust's very popular 'Canoe Safari' project.

The substructure and decking are made from Douglas Fir.

Boardwalk at Slimbridge

The softwood access decks and jetty in the second Canoe Safari have been individually designed to follow the curved shape of the drainage channels that border the Severn estuary.

Domestic Decking, Llandeilo

Our heavy duty 38mm standard decking can look very attractive in a domestic setting. This Douglas Fir decking, balustrade and steps have been installed on a post and beam substructure. Decking is available in oak or softwood and in a wide variety of sizes.

Non-slip inserts can be integrated directly into the decking boards for extra safety.

Lewisham Boardwalk, London

This project featured a complex series of boardwalks and bridges that are part of a flood alleviation scheme. The walkways are made from tanalised softwood on a timber substructure.

Loughor Greenway Board Walk, Swansea

This long estuary-side board walk is constructed from a softwood superstructure on 6 inch oak piled beams. The boardwalk is designed to withstand tidal flooding.

Boardwalk - Penallte, Caerphilly

Built over a lake, as part of a reclamation project, this softwood boardwalk is an eye-catching visitor attraction. Installation was achieved by using piled posts in a bunded lake to allow the public to walk out over the water. A jetty and pond dipping areas increase visitor enjoyment.
